This School Food Authority (SFA) operates the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.

The following areas were corrected prior to the On-Site Portion of this Administrative Review (AR):

• Civil Rights – Data on Race and Ethnicity: During the off-site portion of this AR, Eastern Oklahoma Juvenile Detention Center (EOJDC) provided their Benefit Issuance Document (BID) as their tool for gathering data on children’s ethnicity and race.   The BID provided only gathered data on children’s race [FNS-Instruction 113-1].  Prior to the completion of the on-site EOJDC provided an updated BID that gathers data on children’s ethnicity and race.
• Local Wellness Policy:  The local wellness policy provided during the off-site portion of this AR did not contain a description in which public involvement with the local wellness policy is sought [7 CFR Part 210.31 (c) (5)].  Prior to the completion of the on-site portion of this AR a local wellness policy was provided containing this description.
• Meal Pattern – Breakfast:  During the menu week assessment (02/07/21 – 02/13/21) there were non-systemic insufficient serving sizes [7 CFR Part 220.8 (c)] discovered for two breakfast menus (fruit servings on 02/08/21 and 02/10/21).  Prior to the on-site portion of this AR, EODJC took corrective action bringing both serving sizes into compliance with the breakfast meal patterns for grades 9-12.  The State Agency (SA) is exercising its discretion to not apply fiscal action for the above insufficient quantities as allowed for under 7 CFR Part 210.18 (g) (2).
• Meal Pattern – Lunch:  During the menu week assessment (02/07/21 – 02/13/21) non-systemic insufficient sizes was discovered [7 CFR Part 210.10 (c)].  Prior to the completion of the on-site portion of this AR EODJC took corrective action bringing the insufficient serving sizes into compliance.  The State Agency (SA) is exercising its discretion to not apply fiscal action for the above insufficient quantities as allowed for under 7 CFR Part 210.18 (g) (2).

Corrective action was made prior to the On-Site portion of this AR.  No further action is required for the above. 

There were no additional findings for EOJDC’s AR.

Reviewer’s Comments:  I want to commend the staff members who work with the EOJDC’s school food services program on a job well done during this review.   Keep up the good work with EOJDC’s school food services program.
