This School Food Authority (SFA) operates the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.
The following areas were corrected prior to the On-Site Portion of this Administrative Review (AR):
- Local Wellness Policy: The policy did not contain the following required areas
- Separate section of the policy for the goals for nutrition promotion [as required by federal regulation 7 CFR Part 210.31 (c) (1)].
- A description of the manner in which the public is provided with the opportunity to participate in the local wellness policy process [as required by federal regulation 7 CFR Part 210.31 (c) (5)].
Prior to the completion of the on-site portion of this AR, Integris Bass Baptist Health Center (IBBHC) took corrective action by adding the above required areas to their local wellness policy.
- Meal Patterns: During the menu week assessed 02/12/23 – 02/18/23 there were some insufficient serving sizes for the lunch menus served [7 CFR Part 210.10 (c)]. Prior to the completion of the on-site portion of this AR, the SFA took corrective actions bringing the insufficient serving sizes into compliance with the meal patterns for grades 9-1.
- The school served non-creditable food items as part of the meal component. During the menu assessment, for the week of 02/12/23 through 02/18/23 it was determined your agency is serving a non-creditable item [7 CFR Part 210 Appendix C]. Prior to the on-site visit, IBBHC replaced the non-creditable product with a Child Nutrition (CN) labeled product.
- Whole Grain Rich – Percentage of Weekly Serving Under 80%: During the assessment of breakfast and lunch menus for the week of 02/12/23 through 02/18/23 it was discovered the Whole Grain-Rich (WGR) percentage of the bread/grain component weekly serving for the breakfast menus was under 80% [7 CFR Part 210.10 (c) (2) (iv) (B) and 7 CFR Part 220.8 (c) (2) (iv) (B)]. Prior to the completion of the on-site portion of this AR, IBBHC took corrective actions that brought the percentage of the weekly bread/grain serving over 80%
No further action is required for the above.
There were no additional findings for the AR for IBBHC.
Reviewer’s Comments: I want to commend all of IBBHC’s staff members with duties within the school food services program for all the hard work they do. I specifically want to commend Rhonda Fullerton for all her work on IBBHC’s school food services program. Her hard work is reflected in the excellent results for this review. Keep up the good work.
