Post Adoption Support Services are designed to serve families who have adopted through Oklahoma Human Services, families currently living in Oklahoma who finalized their adoption in another state, as well as state-funded guardianships. Some of these supports may include: Medicaid coverage, a monthly assistance payment, reimbursement of non-recurring adoption expenses and child care when/if applicable. Every family has an assigned Post Adoption Specialist to help them navigate the journey following the finalization of their adoption. These specialists provide maintenance of adoption assistance benefits, outreach efforts, and support to adoptive families in crisis.

Post Adoption Services also includes the Mutual-Consent Voluntary Registry/Reunion Registry and the Confidential Intermediary Search Program. These services allow adoptees and biological families to search for one another.
