​The Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA) of 1982 allows children with physical or mental disabilities, who would not ordinarily be eligible for State Supplemental Income benefits because of their parent's income or resources, to become eligible for SoonerCare (Medicaid).
