Driving with a Class D Driver License in the State of Oklahoma means you may drive all vehicles or combination of vehicles except A, B, & C without any restrictions on the time of day or the type or number of passengers you can drive (within legal limits).
Note
If you are over 18 years old, you can click here to apply for an Unrestricted Driver License without going through the GDL program.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
Visit our Locations Page to find a Licensed Operater or a Service Oklahoma Licensing Office near you.
You must bring the physical copy of your Intermediate License to your visit.
You will be given a temporary unrestricted license to use until you receive your license in the mail.
Note
These fees apply when graduating from an Intermediate License to an Unrestricted. If you are 18 or older and have never held any Oklahoma License, please visit our New Driver 18+ page for additional fees.
While Learner Permits, Intermediate Licenses, and Unrestricted Licenses are not inherently REAL IDs, a REAL ID credential can be added to them at the time they are issued. If you would like to have this credential added, please bring the documents found here with you to your appointment.
An Intermediate License is the required step before receiving a Class D (Unrestricted) License in the Graduated Driver License program for anyone under 18 years old. If you are over 18 years old, you do not need to receive an Intermediate License.
You will have to hold an Intermediate License for the required amount of time and meet the eligibility requirements listed above. There are no tests or additional actions required before scheduling an appointment.
