State Questions
Initiatives, referendums and legislative referendums are filed with the Oklahoma Secretary of State. When a State Question qualifies to be on the ballot, the Secretary of State notifies the State Election Board of the State Question number, the ballot title, and the date of the election.
Upcoming State Questions
Two state questions have qualified for the November 5, 2024 General Election Ballot:
STATE QUESTION 833 - LEGISLATIVE REFERENDUM 376
STATE QUESTION 834 - LEGISLATIVE REFERENDUM 377
Note: For the November 5, 2024 General Election, the deadline for the Governor to issue a proclamation calling an election for a State Question is Monday, August 26, 2024. (See 26 O.S. § 12-116, which states “...the election shall be held not fewer than seventy (70) days from the date the election is called.”)
