Office of Inspector General
What We Do
Agents in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) perform duties similar to those of other law enforcement personnel. OIG agents investigate administrative and criminal misconduct of public assistance programs including crimes committed against Oklahoma Human Services. Agents have the authority to serve and execute bench warrants and other court orders in any judicial or administrative proceeding in which Oklahoma Human Services is a party or participant.
OIG audits internal programs for compliance with state and federal law, audits the use of electronic and technological devices used by Oklahoma Human Services staff, and conducts thousands of background checks for licensed child care providers, foster and adoptive families, trial reunifications, guardianships and Oklahoma Human Services staff.
