Office of Community Engagement and Health Planning
CDS Office of Community Engagement and Health Planning works to increase capacity and improve health outcomes through collaboration with community partners and stakeholders. Our office delivers trainings, provides tools and resources for engaging and mobilizing communities. We assist with health planning, product development, and service connection.
Community Engagement
Definition: The process of working with and through groups of people affiliated by proximity, special interest, or similar situations to address issues affecting their well-being.
Health Planning
Definition: The first step in an orderly process to accomplish the things necessary to improve the health status of Individuals and populations.
Social Determinants/Drivers of Health
Definition: Non-medical factors that influence health outcomes.
