Safety Standards Division
The Safety Standards Division of the Oklahoma Department of Labor is dedicated to ensuring the safety of both the workforce and the general public. Our division performs inspections, issues licenses and certificates, and conducts investigations as required for the following areas:
Alarm, Locksmith, and Fire Sprinkler
Ensures public safety through rigorous licensing and regulation of alarm, locksmith, and fire sprinkler services.
Alternative Fuels
Promotes safe alternative fuel use by regulating installations, inspections, and certifications across Oklahoma.
Amusement Rides
Protects riders by enforcing safety standards and conducting inspections of amusement rides statewide.
Boilers & Pressure Vessels
Safeguards against accidents by ensuring boilers and pressure vessels meet strict safety regulations and inspections.
Elevators & Escalators
Ensures elevator and escalator safety through comprehensive inspections and adherence to state codes and standards.
Welders
Maintains industry safety by certifying welders and overseeing welding operations to meet high standards.
